Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 30, 2026
Effective date: April 30, 2026
ZeroBug is a developer knowledge base that provides technical articles, topic navigation, code and diagram rendering, language switching, theme switching, and a mobile reading experience. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, retained, shared, and protected when you visit zerobug.club, use the mobile reading experience generated from the same content, or interact with ZeroBug through an app store or related distribution channel.
This policy is written to describe the current product as clearly as possible. If ZeroBug later adds accounts, comments, subscriptions, payments, community features, AI assistants, or other functionality that requires more personal information, this policy will be updated accordingly.
1. Scope
This policy applies to:
- the
zerobug.clubwebsite; - the mobile reading experience generated from ZeroBug content;
- app store listings, feedback, troubleshooting, and security maintenance processes that directly relate to those services.
This policy does not cover the data practices of third-party websites, app stores, browsers, operating systems, network providers, hosting platforms, or other third-party services. When you leave ZeroBug or open a third-party link, you should review that third party's privacy policy.
2. Information We Do Not Actively Request
ZeroBug is currently focused on public technical reading. By default, it does not require you to create an account and does not ask you to submit your name, email address, phone number, government identifiers, precise location, contacts, photos, microphone access, camera access, payment information, or health information.
ZeroBug currently does not provide in-site payments, paid memberships, private messages, comments, personal profile pages, or personalized account features that require login. In normal reading use, you generally do not need to provide information that directly identifies you.
If you contact the maintainer through an app store, public platform, email, social media, or another channel, that channel may provide your account name, contact details, message content, screenshots, device model, system version, or crash information to help respond to your issue. Please avoid sending sensitive information that is unrelated to the issue.
3. Categories of Information We May Process
3.1 Local Preference Information
To maintain the reading experience, ZeroBug may store the following preferences locally in your browser or WebView:
- current language;
- dark, light, or system theme setting;
- brand color and other interface preferences;
- local state related to the reading interface.
These preferences are mainly stored on your device, for example in browser localStorage, browser cache, or WebView storage. They are used to restore the interface and are not used to identify your real-world identity.
3.2 Access and Device Technical Information
To load pages and maintain the website and mobile reading experience, hosting, network, security, and diagnostic infrastructure may automatically process technical information, including:
- IP address or approximate network region;
- access time, requested path, referrer, and response status;
- browser type, device type, operating system version, and language setting;
- page performance, error stacks, crash logs, or security event logs;
- network information needed to detect abuse, attacks, scraping, or abnormal traffic.
This information is usually generated automatically by browsers, operating systems, app stores, hosting platforms, or content delivery networks. ZeroBug uses it to deliver content, maintain security, troubleshoot issues, and improve stability.
3.3 Voluntary Feedback Information
If you voluntarily submit feedback, issue reports, app store reviews, email, or other communications, we may process the information you provide, such as:
- your question, suggestion, or review;
- screenshots, logs, or reproduction steps you provide;
- contact details or platform account identifiers used to respond to you;
- device, system, browser, or app version information relevant to diagnosing the issue.
This information is used only to respond, troubleshoot, fix issues, improve the product, and maintain security.
3.4 App Store and Distribution Platform Information
If you install, update, or review ZeroBug through the App Store, Google Play, or another distribution platform, that platform may process installation records, device information, store account data, region, crash diagnostics, review content, and purchase or download status according to its own policies. The maintainer can only access limited aggregate or feedback information made available by the platform, depending on the platform's rules and your settings.
4. How We Use Information
ZeroBug processes the information described above to:
- provide knowledge base content, topic navigation, article reading, and mobile display;
- save language, theme, and interface preferences;
- analyze page loading, build output, compatibility, and crash issues;
- identify abnormal access, attacks, abuse, automated scraping, or destructive behavior;
- respond to questions, suggestions, or feedback you choose to submit;
- maintain, debug, improve, and protect the service;
- comply with applicable legal obligations, platform review requirements, or security needs.
We do not track your cross-site activity for advertising profiles. We do not build advertising profiles from your reading history, and we do not sell your personal information.
5. Cookies, Local Storage, and Similar Technologies
ZeroBug currently relies mainly on local browser storage to save language, theme, and brand-color preferences. Hosting platforms, browsers, app stores, or security infrastructure may also use cookies, cache, logs, or similar technologies to support access, security, abuse prevention, and basic operational statistics.
You can clear ZeroBug site data, restrict cookies, disable local storage, or clear browser cache through your browser settings. If you disable these capabilities, language and theme preferences may not persist, and some page loading or security checks may be affected.
6. Sharing, Sale, and Cross-Site Advertising
We do not sell your personal information and do not share personal information for cross-site advertising.
To operate the website and mobile reading experience, the following types of service providers may process technical information when necessary:
- website hosting, static asset delivery, and domain name services;
- app stores, system distribution, and crash diagnostic services;
- security protection, abuse prevention, log analysis, and performance diagnostic services;
- public platforms or communication channels used by the maintainer to receive and respond to user feedback.
These providers generally process information only as needed to provide their services. We may also disclose limited information when necessary to comply with legal requirements, respond to lawful requests, protect ZeroBug and users, investigate abuse, preserve legitimate rights, or handle security incidents.
7. Retention
Local preference information remains on your device until you clear site data, browser cache, WebView data, or uninstall the app.
Technical logs, access logs, crash logs, and security event records are retained according to the retention periods of the relevant hosting, network, security, or app store infrastructure. We try to avoid retaining information beyond what is necessary for content delivery, security, troubleshooting, and compliance.
Feedback you voluntarily submit may be retained for a reasonable period needed to handle the issue, improve the product, resolve disputes, or maintain security.
8. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect relevant information, including HTTPS access, limiting unnecessary data collection, reducing sensitive information processing, relying on established hosting and app distribution infrastructure, and avoiding requests for unrelated private information during troubleshooting.
However, no internet transmission, browser environment, mobile device, third-party platform, or hosting infrastructure can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please do not include passwords, keys, credentials, government identifiers, payment records, private repository URLs, production tokens, or other sensitive information in feedback, screenshots, logs, or public reviews.
9. Your Choices and Rights
You can manage information related to ZeroBug in several ways:
- clear
zerobug.clubsite data, cookies, local storage, and cache in your browser; - limit cookies, local storage, crash diagnostics, or app analytics in your browser or system settings;
- manage app permissions, diagnostic sharing, and reviews in your app store or system settings;
- delete public reviews or feedback you submitted, depending on whether the platform supports it;
- contact the maintainer through the developer contact channel listed on the app store page, the public project channel, or the channel you originally used for feedback to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing.
If you submit a data request, we may need to verify that the request relates to you or to feedback you submitted. Some requests may not be fully possible because of technical limitations, legal obligations, security needs, or restrictions imposed by third-party platforms.
10. Children
ZeroBug is intended for developers and technical learners who can study independently. It is not directed to children, and ZeroBug does not knowingly collect children's personal information.
If a guardian believes that a child has provided personal information to ZeroBug or a related feedback channel, the guardian may contact the maintainer through an available channel, and we will assist within a reasonable scope.
11. International Access and Cross-Border Processing
ZeroBug is available on the internet. Depending on your location, hosting platform, content delivery network nodes, app store region, and infrastructure used by the maintainer, related technical information may be transferred to and processed in different countries or regions.
We try to keep processing limited to what is necessary for service delivery, security maintenance, and troubleshooting.
12. Third-Party Links and External Content
ZeroBug articles may reference open-source projects, official documentation, technical blogs, code repositories, app stores, or other external resources. When you visit those third-party services, they may collect and process information according to their own privacy policies. ZeroBug does not control those third-party data practices.
13. Policy Updates
We may update this policy when site functionality, mobile capabilities, hosting arrangements, third-party services, legal requirements, or data practices change. The updated policy will show a new "Last updated" date on this page.
If a change materially affects your rights or how information is processed, we will provide notice through the page, app store notes, or another appropriate method when reasonable.
14. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or related data processing, you can contact the maintainer through the developer contact channel listed on the app store page, the public project channel, or the channel where you originally submitted feedback.
To protect your privacy, please provide only the information needed to handle the issue. Do not submit passwords, keys, tokens, government identifiers, payment records, or other sensitive information.
